Saddam al Qaeda link ... ?

According to Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen in May, 2004

“The evidence now shows clearly that Saddam did not want to work with Osama bin Laden at all.”

"Iraq was not even close to the center of the War on Terror before the president invaded it."

Were those "experts" well-informed ? Where did they get their information ?

Did they / do they believe what they said ? Changed their minds ?

Is there reason for any of them to speak other than truth ?
